While other clubs were busy with the transfer of players in and out of their clubs, Laliga restrictions caused the transfer window to be hectic for Culers despite no movement in the club.

Aside from the Ronald Araújo situation, Barcelona also face a tussle with Laliga over the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, who signed for the Catalan club in the summer of last year.

The issue with their registration became so intense that the case was transferred to the CSD, where Barcelona finally acquired a temporary measure to register both Spanish players.

Laliga’s stand in the submitted report was the league’s claim that the required documentation from the Camp Nou VIP box seats was not done in time, a claim Barcelona were not satisfied with.

Despite the ruling of the CSD, Laliga looks bent on aborting the registration and has seen a loophole in Barcelona’s claim presented to the CSD.

According to El Confidencial, as relayed by AS, Laliga accuses Barcelona of the supposed investors from Qatar and the UAE that they claimed brought in the €28 million required to register both players being received from a pre-existing stakeholder internally linked with the Catalan club.

It is still to be seen what the decision of the CSD will be after this new wave of revelation.
