There have been many players linked with a move away from Barcelona this January transfer, including Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen.

The Blaugrana are hoping to free up some space in the wages to allow Marcus Rashford to join on loan this month.

However, there is a certain player whom the club have pleaded with to move, but so far, he has shown no interest in departing.

Ansu Fati has been left out of Hansi Flick’s squad numerous times this season and the German coach has publicly criticised him in press conferences.

Despite the club clearly wanting him to move, the 22-year-old seems adamant he wants to continue at Barcelona this season, regardless of interest from many Premier League sides.

In a recent turn of events, Diario AS have claimed that a former Real Madrid manager could be Barca’s saving grace.

According to the report, Fenerbahçe’s manager, Jose Mourinho, is not happy with Allan Saint-Maximin, who is on loan from Al-Ahil, and he is looking at other options to bring in this month.

Supposedly, Barcelona’s Fati is the player Mourinho wants and he has asked the Turkish side to ‘immediately start negotiations’ for the 22-year-old winger.

Even though the Blaugrana would welcome any transfer for the Spaniard, due to his high wages, the club would need to continue paying a significant portion of his salary.

Despite the interest, it is still yet to be seen if Fati would give the green light for this deal, especially considering he has turned down nearly every other opportunity this month.
