Barcelona has smashed the record for the most jerseys bought in a single day, with the launch of its new 2025/26 home kit.

Launched on July 2, the new kit from Nike, with the traditional colors of Blaugrana, generated never-before-seen sales, as fans rushed to buy it from both online and the official stores at Spotify Camp Nou.

According to FCBRAC1, by 1 p.m. CET, the number of people buying the kit has already gone past the club’s previous single-day record, indicating that the demand was in line with the club’s global appeal and he eye-catching design of the kit.

The fanfare of the club’s recent domestic treble and a fanbase excited about celebrating their 125th anniversary season further added to the atmosphere.

The popularity of the kit is also linked to the developing superstar of Lamine Yamal, whose name has already generated a large amount of customised sales, with many supporters already customising shirts with his expected number 10, for an additional €25.

Despite prices starting at €114.99 for a basic to €184.99 for a personalised, Champions League branded shirt, regardless of prices, there seems to be no end of people wanting to buy via digital channels, where three times the revenue has already been achieved for online activity since Barcelona re-engaged with e-commerce as part of its strategic partnership with Nike.

Thanks to its innovative and artistic merchandising, including limited and exclusive lines like Barça x Cruyff, and through licensing arrangements with Spotify, fan engagement got more lifelike and potent even before the anniversary celebration commenced.

This historic mark highlights Barcelona’s commercial and cultural power. With two million people passing through the Camp Nou megastore this season and a 30 per cent increase in sales in stores, the club continues to push the boundaries of merchandising excellence.

The success of Hansi Flick’s side on the pitch means that the opportunity to build on the mania for the Blaugrana brand has not dwindled, firmly establishing Barcelona’s continued global domination in the footballing world.
