According to Spanish outlet E-N, Liverpool have missed out on signing 18-year-old Brazilian talent Rayan Vitor, as the Vasco da Gama player has reportedly agreed to join Barcelona for around £15 million.
The Spanish club faced stiff competition from Liverpool and Marseille to secure the youngster’s services.
Rayan has played across the front line, though he is yet to settle into a specific position. Despite tallying only one goal and one assist this season, he is highly regarded for his potential.
In September, he made his debut for Brazil’s U-20 national team, marking a step toward further international recognition. Standing at 6-foot-1, he has shown strong aerial skills, with his impressive dribbling ability making an impact in the Brazilian Serie A.
