Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has long appreciated Pedri’s talent and had expressed interest in collaborating with him.
According to SPORT, Flick had targeted the Barcelona midfielder during his tenure at Bayern Munich, where he coached from November 2019 until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Throughout his term, he oversaw Barcelona’s significant 2-8 defeat in the UEFA Champions League during Quique Setien’s leadership.
A report indicates that during this period, Flick aimed to recruit Pedri for Bayern. Pedri, signed by Barcelona in 2019, first went back to Las Palmas on loan for one season before emerging as a key player for the first team under Ronald Koeman.
