The 33-year-old, who impressed with France at Euro 2024, is keen to leave Al-Ittihad and make a return to Europe this summer.
MD reported that Deco had taken steps to bring Kante to Barcelona on a loan deal, but head coach Hansi Flick intervened and stopped the move.
