Hansi Flick may ‘not count on’ two Barcelona players

Hansi Flick seems to have his mind made up about discarding two players this summer

Hansi Flick seems to be taking an interest in Barcelona’s rising stars, particularly midfielders Marc Casado and Marc Bernal, as well as their defensive lineup. Left-back Gerard Martin has displayed reliability and comfort on the wing, much like Alex Valle.

The range of options available gives Flick a lot of flexibility. However, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, this situation leaves Senegalese center-back Mikayil Faye and Mexican right-back Julian Araujo on the outside.

Faye has been the subject of transfer rumors this summer, but it seems that he is not a part of Flick’s plans for the upcoming season.

Faye faces tough competition in the center-back position but can also play as a left-back.

There hasn’t been much talk about Araujo’s future, with the expectation that he would act as a backup after a successful loan period at Las Palmas last season.

However, with Valle, Fort, Kounde, and potentially Cancelo ahead of him in the pecking order, Araujo is likely to depart, either on loan or permanently.
