There has been news in the past few months about the striking position at Barcelona, with reports suggesting that Barcelona would love to bring in a replacement for the Polish veteran striker Robert Lewandowski this summer.

Lewandowski, whose contract has automatically been extended, has spoken of his fitness to continue at the club. Ferran Torres believes he may be Barcelona’s future centre striker, taking over for 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski.

This situation has made the fans wonder if bringing in a striker would be possible during the summer transfer window. However, the Catalans are reportedly hunting for prospective replacements.

Ferran typically plays out wide, but he has filled in for Lewandowski in a more central role this season. He believes he can do so in a full-time game despite not being impressive when he started against Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniard told TV3: “I can be Barça’s starting centre forward. I am confident I can be FC Barcelona’s starting center forward; why not? If the club needs to look for someone else, that’s fine, but I’m handling the competition very well.”

Ferran has 11 goals this season and has been called up by Spain’s head coach for this month’s international matches. However, seeing him take over for Lewandowski after the veteran leaves the club is impossible.
