Ex-Barcelona coach Xavi was relieved from his coaching duties at Barcelona after the end of last season in a dramatic manner.
The Spain and Barcelona legend was appointed as Barcelona coach in November 2021 as the permanent successor to another Barcelona legend, Ronald Koeman.
The coach took over from the previous coach in a difficult moment, with Barcelona sitting in an absurd position and facing a financial challenge for the club.
After being relieved by the club of his heart, the Spaniard will be looking to return to coaching again, probably next season.
Ex-Barcelona Coach Xavi Returns to Coaching
As reported by Alex Pintanel, former Barcelona coach and legend Xavi Hernandez is set to return to coaching again next summer.
Xavi took a season-long break from coaching after his dismissal from his Barcelona job.
The ex-Barcelona coach had an outstanding season with Barcelona, with his mid-season appointment one of the most remarkable.
Barcelona were ninth in La Liga when the Spaniard took over in 2021, guiding the team to a second-place finish and securing Champions League football.
Xavi went on to win the league trophy in his first full season in 2023 while conceding the fewest goals in the league with the dominance of Balde, Araujo, Christensen, and Kounde, famed as “B-A-C-K.”
However, in the next season at the club, Xavi was sacked after having an issue with Barcelona president Joan Laporta i Estruch and was replaced by ex-Bayern and Germany senior team coach Hansi Flick.
