According to a report by The Athletic, there is currently a legal dispute between Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé and his former club, FC Barcelona.
The representatives of the French player are requesting €10 million from Barcelona, alleging inadequate compensation for their role in his transfer to Ligue 1.
Dembélé transferred to PSG in the summer of 2023 when the club triggered a release clause worth around €50 million.
The 27-year-old had previously agreed to a substantial wage reduction when he renewed his contract with Barcelona, entitling him to half of the release clause.
His representatives claim to be owed €10 million in outstanding fees linked to Dembélé’s move to the Parisian team. Legal proceedings are currently taking place in a nearby court, as Barcelona is contesting the allegations.
