It would be a huge surprise if Barcelona made any moves this January transfer window, especially with Pau Victor and Dani Olmo still yet to be registered.
However, it is looking likely that Barça will strengthen in the 2025 summer transfer window and with a wealth of talent set to enter free agency on the 1st of July, it could be very beneficial to Barcelona if Joan Laporta can take advantage.
Some of the big names who have recently entered the final 6 months of their contracts include Liverpool trio Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, as well as Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.
However, Barcelona have set their sights on two free agents that Hansi Flick knows well from his time at Bayern Munich, Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich, according to El Nacional, via SportBible.
Kimmich has been heavily linked with a move to Catalonia for a long time now and with Flick at the helm it could finally materialise.
Sane would also be a great addition to the German manager’s frontline and would provide some much-needed competition and experience.
It is yet to be seen if Bayern can agree new deals with the pair and with Barcelona, as well as other clubs, now able to offer pre-contracts, it could spell the end of their time in the Bundesliga.
