Barcelona to fight with Real Madrid for the next Brazilian star

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the race to sign €100 million-rated Brazilian talent.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are said to be vying for the acquisition of 18-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch, the center-back represents Brazil at the under-17 level and has recently debuted for the senior team at Palmeiras.

A former colleague of Real Madrid’s emerging talent Endrick, Reis was previously highlighted by The Guardian as one of the standout prospects born in 2006.

He has demonstrated remarkable maturity and technical prowess since breaking into Brazil’s top division.

According to the Diario AS, Reis has attracted attention from numerous top European clubs. The highly coveted young player is not only being pursued by La Liga competitors Real Madrid and Barcelona but also by Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

Reis has been likened to Manchester City defender Ruben Dias and Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos.

He receives accolades for his inherent leadership abilities, having led Brazil at multiple youth competitions, and is regarded as an exceptional defensive prospect.

In August, he penned a fresh deal with Palmeiras, prolonging his tenure until 2028, featuring a buyout clause set at €100 million.
