Barcelona are on fire this season and have consistently put up mouthwatering performances; despite their high-line strategy, the team has managed to keep five clean sheets since the start of 2025.

With a balanced and youthful squad, Hansi Flick has many options for each position, and the second choice often puts up a fantastic performance when called upon.

Barcelona’s backup options are incredible, from Gerard Martin to Fermin Lopez and Eric Garcia. Despite this favorable condition, the team’s sporting department wants to reinforce certain positions with these targets for the next season.

Barcelona Aim to Sign Isak and Ratiu

Barcelona’s sporting department, led by former club player Deco, is working to bring in two new faces in the summer of 2025 to strengthen the squad for competition.

According to journalist Helena Condis, Barcelona want to add former Real Sociedad and Newcastle forward Alexander Isak to their team, even if the price is high.

Another position that is looking to be reinforced is the right-back position, particularly on the right flank, and the Catalan club are closely monitoring Ratiu, who is seen as a suitable backup for Jules Kounde.

With Gerard Martin and Hector Fort signing extensions with the club until June 2028 and June 30, respectively, it remains to be seen whether Hector Fort will be shown the exit door as the attempt to sign a new full-back intensifies.
