Barcelona’s transfer window under Hansi Flick is beginning to take shape, with the club prioritising key areas for reinforcement ahead of a decisive summer.

The Catalan giants are still in negotiations with potential new arrivals, while trying to balance Financial Fair Play constraints.

With young talents like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi expected to play prominent roles next season, some of the club’s veterans are now facing uncertain futures.

Meanwhile, La Masia continues to churn out exciting prospects, adding further pressure on high-earning stars to prove their worth.

And now, in an unexpected twist, one of the club’s most loyal servants finds himself at the centre of an online storm.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper and captain, is reportedly deeply upset after a social media campaign – trending globally under the hashtag ‘#TerStegenOut’ – targeted him in recent days.

According to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad via X, the 32-year-old German international has been left hurt and surprised by the online criticism, especially after his difficult battle with injury this season.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen returned late in the campaign following seven months on the sidelines, but despite regaining full fitness, manager Hansi Flick opted to continue with Wojciech Szczesny between the posts.

The veteran shot-stopper, who has spent over a decade at Camp Nou, appeared in a recent Barca One documentary where he expressed gratitude for the support he received during his recovery.

“I have improved a lot.

“In the last eleven years, I have never been better physically. I feel better than ever,” said Ter Stegen, adding, “I’ll never forget the affection the fans showed me while I was injured.”

But that goodwill seems to have vanished for a portion of the fanbase, who are now calling for a change in goal.

Barcelona are actively pursuing RCD Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, and reports suggest they would be willing to sanction Ter Stegen’s departure if Garcia agrees to join this summer.

That scenario has placed the long-serving German in a precarious position, with his future at Barcelona now shrouded in uncertainty despite his status as club captain.
