Barcelona’s pre-season preparations have been in full swing this week as Hansi Flick continues to assess his options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
With new signings already arriving and departures being finalised, the mood around the club’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper base has remained intense, yet hopeful.
After a stellar 2024/25 season, all eyes are now on how the Catalans can win it all under Flick’s regime.
Much has been made of the squad depth and the roles of several high-profile stars, but it’s one new face in particular who has caused a stir since stepping through the doors.
And that is none other than former Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
The 27-year-old’s arrival in Catalonia was officially announced earlier this week, ending weeks of speculation over his switch from Old Trafford to Camp Nou.
He was unveiled in front of the media only on Wednesday, and joined training with his new teammates after the signing of his contract.

Now, according to fresh information from journalist Alex Pintanel via X, the England international has stunned the squad with his physical condition, having overcome his recent hamstring issues with no lingering concerns.
“Rashford has returned without any aftereffects from the latest hamstring injury and in great physical shape,” Pintanel reported.
“In the locker room, they say he’s like a ‘beast’.”
His impressive start has reportedly left a number of Barcelona players surprised by just how sharp he appears, especially so early into pre-season.
Rashford has signed a contract running until the summer of 2026, with an option to buy included in the agreement with Manchester United.
The forward joins a new-look frontline under Flick, who will be hoping Rashford’s pace and directness can offer something different to Barcelona’s current attacking dynamic.
Should his early promise continue, there’s every chance Rashford will quickly become a key figure in the squad’s ambitions for the coming season.
Me gustó la puesta en escena y el discurso de Rashford. Ha llegado sin secuelas de la última lesión de isquios y muy bien físicamente. En el vestuario dicen que está como un “animal”.
