FC Barcelona has made it apparent in recent seasons that they will continue to scout promising young prospects. While the team has its fair number of homegrown players keen to show themselves, specific profiles must be obtained. Fortunately for Barcelona, the football market provides a wide range.
Notwithstanding this, not all of Barça’s investments in promising young players have paid off as well as they would have hoped. Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, for example, was recently transferred back to Brazil when Palmeiras agreed to sign him permanently.
Barcelona Monitor Saba Kharebashvili
According to MD, another talented player has recently caught the club’s attention, and they are interested in him.
The player in question is Saba Kharebashvili, a 16-year-old Georgian left-back. A player who has already shown a lot of commitment, he plays for Georgian side FC Dinamo Tbilisi and succeeded in making a UEFA record his last season.
He became the youngest player in UEFA Cup history when he played for the squad last season. While promising potential, he has also garnered significant notice in Europe.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all reportedly interested in him. If the player’s transfer controversy continues, both sides will have a significant financial advantage over the Catalan giants.
