During the recent summer, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was reportedly considering Lamine Yamal as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappé.
Mundo Deportivo reported that PSG was ready to present a significant offer for Yamal, potentially exceeding their record €222 million transfer fee by suggesting up to €250 million.
Despite the speculation, no substantial discussions took place. At present, PSG will need to appreciate Yamal from a distance. Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for PSG, participated in the Thinking Football Summit in Portugal this week.
During the event, he was questioned about the club’s recent transfer activities. Campos expressed his respect for Yamal but clarified that there has been no substantial advancement in negotiations for a deal.
Additionally, Andy Bara, Dani Olmo’s agent, disclosed that PSG did make an offer for Yamal. Bara stated,
“I can confirm that Barcelona turned down a substantial bid from PSG for Lamine Yamal, which was around €250 million.”
