MARCA reported that FC Barcelona was presented with a lucrative offer for one of their top players on the last day of the most recent transfer window.
Barcelona’s financial fair play (FFP) situation could have been altered if President Joan Laporta had approved the offer from the Kingdom for Inigo Martinez.
According to MARCA, Barcelona rejected an offer of €5 million.
Despite the fact that the club could have made a profit since they obtained Inigo for free from Athletic Club a year ago, they still declined the offer.
Flick’s main motivation was to keep Martinez on the team, as he has been a key player in their unbeaten start to the 2024/2025 season, propelling them to the top of La Liga standings before the recent international break.
