With less than two weeks remaining in the January transfer market, Barcelona look set to finally make a move they have been lining up for weeks.

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who is being forced out by new manager Ruben Amorin, has reportedly reached an agreement with the Spanish side to join on a six-month loan, according to Sport.

The article claims that the English forward has decided he only wants Barca and will wait until the last days of the transfer window to complete a move.

Rashford is currently on around €18million a year and it is expected the Blaugrana will pay the remaining €9million of his yearly wages, unless they can reach another agreement with Man United.

However, the is one massive stumbling block, as Barcelona have to free up some salary space to comply with financial fair play rules.

Ansu Fati has been linked with numerous clubs all window, unfortunately, the La Masia talent is very reluctant to leave on loan.

Sport also claims that Eric Garcia could be the player who departs to allow Rashford to join, as Girona are very interested in the defender and are willing to offer around €7million.

Hansi Flick’s side have until the 3rd of February to complete this deal but if they cannot, there will be plenty of other clubs waiting in the wings to sign Rashford, as Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Monaco have also made it known they want the 27-year-old forward.
