Barcelona preparing a big transfer spending in 2025

Barcelona set their sights on signing one of the STAR duo.

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, currently excelling in the Champions League and maintaining their dominance in La Liga despite a recent setback against Real Sociedad, are already shaping their plans for next season.

With a 4-3-3 system in place, the need for a top-tier winger to complement Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Fermin Lopez has become evident.

However, financial constraints and La Liga’s strict fair play regulations prevented the club from making another marquee signing after securing Dani Olmo this summer.

The scenario is expected to shift next summer, bolstered by a lucrative new sponsorship deal with Nike that will enhance Barcelona’s spending power.

According to Calciomercato, sporting director Deco and Flick have prioritized strengthening the flanks and may consider parting ways with Fermin Lopez to facilitate the move.

Their strategy remains rooted in promoting La Masia talents while preserving the team’s core, though one or two departures are likely to fund the arrival of a high-profile winger.

Barcelona’s primary targets reportedly come from Serie A. The first is Rafael Leao of AC Milan, long admired by the club. While his €175 million release clause is steep, Milan may entertain negotiations.

The second is Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has struggled to secure a new contract. Both players offer exceptional dribbling and creativity, thriving on the left flank despite being right-footed.
