Barcelona is preparing a stunning move to bring back a prodigal La Masia graduate this summer transfer window.
According to reports from Sky Sports Germany, a former La Masia player has been deemed of interest by the sporting director and is a principal defensive target.

Bayer Leverkusen values him between €30-40 million, and while it is understood he has a contract until 2027, it is believed there is a gentleman’s agreement to allow him to leave under the right offer.
It is understood that preliminary talks have already been had between the parties.
A return to FC Barcelona would be an emotional return for Alejandro Grimaldo, who has never concealed his wish of one day wearing the Blaugrana colours again.
The Spaniard was adamant about it in a recent interview, stating that it would represent a dream fulfilled for him, and returning to Barcelona would be a lifelong ambition of his.
Recently developed under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen, Grimaldo has established himself as one of the most dangerous wide defenders in Europe, possessing a sturdy defensive base and the ability to attack relentlessly.
Balde is currently Barcelona’s undisputed first-choice left-back.
However, if Grimaldo were to arrive, he would provide competition at left-back and help push out other backup options.
With technical attributes fitted to the Barcelona model of play and a conceptual understanding of the club’s vision, Grimaldo is viewed as a signing both emotionally and organically.
As negotiations progress, little may be left for prayer, but if Barcelona are willing to satisfy Leverkusen’s necessary fee for a player whose career has otherwise come full circle with a transfer back to Camp Nou.
