Barcelona will experience a team rebuild in Hansi Flick’s first summer in charge, as a number of players are set to depart this summer as the club seeks to create salary cap room and boost transfer revenue.
While the new right-back and midfielder are on the agenda, exits will be given priority, most notably to those players no longer in favor with the manager.
According to Fichajes, below is a closer examination of four players set to depart Camp Nou.
1) Ansu Fati
Once touted as Lionel Messi’s successor, Ansu Fati’s career has hit the skids following a disastrous loan move to Brighton and limited playing time under Flick.
The 21-year-old has been limited to just nine games this season, just two of which were in 2025.
Despite turning down a January transfer, things haven’t gotten better, and agent Jorge Mendes is looking to find a new home for the forward now.
A permanent sale looks inevitable, with Premier League and Serie A sides having him in their sights.
2) Inaki Pena
The reserve goalkeeper started the season as Flick’s number one after Marc-André ter Stegen’s injury but has since been replaced by Wojciech Szczesny.
With Ter Stegen now back and Szczesny to remain, Pena, whose contract ends in 2026, will be relegated to third-choice.
The 26-year-old recently changed agents, a sign that he wants a transfer for playing time.
3) Andreas Christensen
Injury concerns have limited Christensen to a solitary appearance this season, and with Jonathan Tah impending, the Dane is the most expendable center-back.
Reliable when fit, his deal expires in 2026, and Barcelona has yet to renew the offer.
Premier League sides could make a move for the veteran defender.
4) Pau Victor
The young striker impressed pre-season but has only appeared for 265 minutes of football, mostly off the bench.
Barcelona highly rates him, but a transfer or loan seems to be in the pipeline to avoid him staying on to continue his growth.
With the economic burdens mounting, Barcelona can make hard choices, and these four players seem to be the initial victims of Flick’s restructuring.
