Despite the discussions being in a preliminary phase and no concrete offer being put forward, finalizing a deal for Leao is proving to be complex.
The stumbling block is the club’s inability to meet his €175 million release clause, which expired on July 15. Furthermore, AC Milan is unwilling to part with him without sufficient time to secure a replacement.
