There have been many reports recently linking Barcelona to a plethora of strikers, including Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, just to name a few.
Thankfully, due to Robert Lewandowski’s unbelievable form, a striker is not urgent, signalling that it can wait until the summer transfer window.
Unfortunately, the Polish striker is 36-years-old and his contract at Barca is set to end in 2026, meaning the Blaugrana will need to consider long-term options, sooner rather than later.
However, according to Adria Albets, via ManagingBarca, Barcelona have already identified some potential targets.
Reportedly, one of them is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, who is very highly rated by some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the Slovenian in recent years.
Transfermarkt value the 21-year-old forward at €50million and with his contract not expiring until 2029, Leipzig are set to demand a hefty fee if they sell him.
Sesko currently has 12 goals and three assists for the German outfit this season, but he has the potential to massively improve and become one of the best strikers in the world.
If Barca can sign the Slovenian international then he could easily lead the clubs forward line for the next 10-plus years
