Manchester United might be handed a boost as reports suggest Barcelona could soon make defender Andreas Christensen available for transfer.
The Danish international has featured in just one competitive match for Barca under Hansi Flick this season. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, this lack of game time could lead to the club offloading him in the near future.
Despite his talent, Christensen faces stiff competition within Barcelona’s defensive setup, particularly after the emergence of promising young centre-back Pau Cubarsi, who has impressed since breaking into the first team.
Last summer, Sport linked Manchester United with an interest in Christensen, though no deal materialized. Instead, the Red Devils bolstered their backline with the acquisitions of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt.
Having proven his quality during his Premier League stint with Chelsea, Christensen would be a logical target for United. The 28-year-old could provide solid depth to the squad while also pushing someone like De Ligt for a starting spot under Ruben Amorim.
