Barcelona is reportedly monitoring the Juventus teenage sensation as they cast their eyes to the future for the next term.

The 19-year-old Turkish international has enjoyed his coming-of-age campaign in Turin, registering six goals and five assists across 37 appearances.

According to El Nacional, the player is Kenan Yildiz.

Contracted until 2029 and boasting an impressive €80 million release clause, Barcelonaa hopes Juventus’ cash crisis will have them willing to negotiate at a lower fee.

The Catalan giants see Yildiz as the ideal attacking signing, especially with potential summer exits like Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, and Pau Victor.

The potential Torres sale alone would be worth up to €30 million – funds that would be used to sign the mercurial winger.

Juventus rejected €60 million offers last summer, but their poor financial situation after the Champions League group stage elimination and Serie A struggles might force them to accept bids nearer to Yildiz’s €45 million market value.

Now fifth in Serie A, Juventus risk being denied the Champions League – a fate that would be economically disastrous for the club and one that would lead to some of its players being sold.

Yildiz joined Juventus from Bayern Munich’s youth system in 2022 but already has 10 goals and nine assists in 69 games, showing his potential as one of Europe’s top young forwards.

But Barcelona is not the only club in the frame for the winger, with Premier League giant Liverpool said to be waiting in reserve behind Mohamed Salah in case the Egyptian leaves.

Yildiz’s fate this summer is far from certain, but Barcelona looks likely to pounce if the downward trajectory of Juventus is to be continued.

The next few months will be crucial in deciding whether Turkish phenomenon Yildiz stays in Italy or is driven into a megastar transfer to Catalonia.
