Next summer transfer window is expected to be a big one for Barcelona and a position that needs strengthening is the left wing. 

Deco tried to sign Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams last summer but the financial situation at the club would not allow such an expensive signing. 

Now, with Joan Laporta getting the club back to the 1:1 rule it has opened the door for a big-name signing and one player who has been heavily linked is Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. 

Adidas to convince Luis Diaz to renew at Liverpool

According to Sport, cited by Managing Barca, Diaz now looks set to renew his contract with Liverpool after they reached an agreement with Adidas to become their new kit manufacturer. 

The Colombian forward is one of Adidas’ biggest stars and with this new deal, they could persuade the Reds to give him a new contract. 

Time will tell and just because both sides are now aligned with the same brand does not make it a certainty, potentially leaving the door open for Barca.
