Barcelona are expected to reinforce their forward line next summer transfer window, with the focus currently on a striker and left winger.
Some of the names that have been discussed include Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, just to name a few.
Whoever the Blaugrana brings in is expected to cost a pretty penny, especially when you look at the quality Hansi Flick expects from his front line.
Mason Greenwood an option for Barcelona
In recent news, Fichajes, via Managing Barca, have claimed that Barcelona are interested in Mason Greenwood.
The report states that Marseille are asking €75million for him and that Barca could sign him if they sell a top player.
It is also said that Joan Laporta & Deco believe he is a good option to reinforce the attack this summer as the former Premier League forward can play across multiple positions.
This deal is very controversial as Greenwood had to leave Manchester United due to domestic violence claims.
The 23-year-old joined Marseille last summer for €30million and has excelled with the French side, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in Ligue 1 this campaign.
Whether the positives outweigh the potential backlash of signing Greenwood is something Deco would have to consider as it definitely would not be a popular decision for a lot of people, including many Barcelona fans.
