Arsenal rejected Barcelona forward last summer

Arsenal REJECTED the possibility of signing Barcelona forward this summer, per reports in England.

Arsenal had the chance to acquire Ferran Torres in the summer transfer window. However, the Premier League club decided against it.

According to FootballTransfers, Barcelona wanted to sell the former Manchester City winger to raise funds and supposedly made an offer to Arsenal last summer.

Mikel Arteta rejected the offer, with no plans to reconsider pursuing Torres in the upcoming January transfer window. Torres was acquired by Manchester City from Valencia for €33.5 million in 2020.

Following his two-season stint at the Etihad, during which he scored 16 goals in 43 matches, he made a €55 million move to Barcelona. His Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €31.5 million, with his contract at Camp Nou set to expire in 2027.

Torres recently took part in Barcelona’s La Liga triumph over Alaves, but he was replaced shortly after coming on the field due to a hamstring injury. This injury is anticipated to keep him out of action for multiple weeks.
