Ansu Fati has been left out of Hansi Flick’s squad for the fourth time in a row this season, giving credence to the German’s comments about him not impressing in training.
It seems like the Spanish international’s time at Barcelona is coming to an end and the club are trying to facilitate his departure this January.
Sevilla were close to signing Fati, however, that deal fell through due to Los Nervionenses condemning the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Real Betis have also been linked with the 22-year-old but they have also shown interest in Manchester United’s Antony who could leave on loan as well.
According to Relevo, there are a few stumbling blocks in Fati leaving the Camp Nou this season, with the main one being that he does not want to leave on loan.
Another issue are his massive salary demands and as reported, Barça do not want to cover any of them, making a loan move unrealistic for a lot of clubs.
The 22-year-old is reportedly on over €260k p/w, a wage that does not justify his recent performances for Barca, or on loan at other clubs.
Fortunately for Fati, his agent is Jorge Mendes and as everyone knows, he can manufacture a transfers out of thin air.
Most recently, the La Masia graduate has been linked with a move to West Ham and Tottenham, something that could be appealing to the 22-year-old after his initially impressed when on loan with Brighton.
