This season, Barcelona’s forward line is pretty set and without injuries, the front three picks itself every game.
Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are almost undroppable, however, when you look at their backups, it is understandable why they play almost every game.
Ansu Fati has been frozen out by Hansi Flick in recent weeks and the club are actively looking to loan him out this month.
Meanwhile, Ferran Torres is a good squad option but the Blaugrana spent €55million on him and he has not really lived up to expectations.
Due to the lack of starting minutes under Flick, it has prompted some European sides to consider signing the former Man City winger.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Managing Barca, have reported that AC Milan are interested in signing Torres on loan this month.
Despite not starting much, the 24-year-old has played 20 games for Flick’s side this season and even though he will be disappointed he is a squad player, every successful team needs players to be rotation options.
Thankfully for the Blaugrana, the winger had a press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Benfica, where he addressed rumours of him leaving.
“I am very happy at Barcelona. My future is here. I’m excited about it,” Torres told reporters, via Managing Barca.
Torres might consider a permanent transfer next summer but whilst the club are unable to sign any replacements, a move seems very unlikely this month.
