As the race for the award heats up, the current standings from the European Golden Boy Index conducted by Football Benchmark and Tuttosport highlight the abundance of talent competing for the award and will make for an exciting finish.
Currently, Paris Saint-Germain’s Désiré Doué is leading the pack, with a score of 92, narrowly ahead of FC Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsí, at 95.4, as well as his fellow teammate Lamine Yamal (97.7), who is ineligible as a result of his previous victory.
Myles Lewis-Skelly of Arsenal follows in third, at 87.5, and PSG’s Warren Zaïre-Emery is just behind at 87.3.
AFC Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen is sixth with 85.2, and Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz is seventh with 84.8. Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri is eighth at 82.6, Sporting CP’s Geovany Quenda is ninth at 81.6, and Ajax’s Jorrel Hato completes the top 10 with a score of 77.4.

Doue came out of PSG’s youth academy, and he has quickly become one of their most prominent attacking players with an impressive combination of pace, technical skill, and goal-scoring instinct.
The way he has performed in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League has led some people to compare him to the best wingers in the world – no wonder Doué is a prominent candidate for this award.
