Tomorrow, Barcelona face off against Real Sociedad, who are currently 9th in La Liga, in the hopes of extending their lead at the top of the table.
Sociedad had a poor start to the season but they have recently picked up form again and they are also in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, recently losing 1-0 in the first leg against Real Madrid.
Whilst this game is not a free win, Barca should be expecting to dispatch the San Sebastian side and Hansi Flick has even suggested there will be some rotation in the starting team.
Hansi Flick provides Real Sociedad team news
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, cited by Managing Barca, Flick confirmed why he will be rotating the team in tomorrow’s La Liga tie.
“I think we will make changes tomorrow, as I always said, we need players with physical fitness, and tomorrow is a good day to use that.”
“Yes, we will make changes, we will make changes, but I will not say what changes we will make.
“We have to take care of some players, make some changes (…) We have very good players and I’m very happy about that.”
Gerard Martin is reportedly set to be one of the players who will start tomorrow and we could also see the likes of Hector Fort, Marc Casado and Ferran Torres return to the starting XI.
Apart from Andreas Christensen, who has recently picked up another injury, Barca should be expecting to have a full-strength team available to face Sociedad.
