It was in August 2024 that Barcelona and RB Leipzig reached an agreement to transfer Dani Olmo. The Spaniard signed a contract with the club for the next six seasons until 30 June 2030, and his buy-out clause is set at 500 million euros.

This emotional move back to Barcelona saw Dani Olmo return to his boyhood club following his stint in La Masia in 2007 from neighbors Espanyol after a decade’s absence.

Dani Olmo would go on to be a sensational signing for Barcelona, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.

Despite his early impact with the Spanish Giant, Spainard suffered massive injury blows, which have seen him sidelined in most vital matches.

Having not started a league match in a month, Dani Olmo is expected to be back in the starting lineup against Rayo tomorrow, a vital game for Barcelona’s title chase.

A win would see the Spanish Giant go to the top of the Laliga table with a goal difference against arch-rival Real Madrid.
