High on the list is midfielder Pedri, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Monday. Securing his future is a top priority for the club’s management.
According to Mundo Deportivo, progress was made in a meeting yesterday between sporting director Deco and Pedri’s agent, Hector Peris, with both sides leaving optimistic about reaching an agreement.
Initial discussions began in April, and Barcelona is now working to formalize verbal agreements already in place. One key aspect still under negotiation is the contract duration, with a potential extension until 2030 or 2031, beyond the initially suggested 2029.
