According to Mundo Deportivo, it appears that Flick does not presently consider Ansu Fati to be a key player in the Barcelona team.
Subsequent to his recovery from injury, Ansu has seen limited involvement in the team’s lineup, despite Flick’s known proficiency in managing his players effectively.
Ansu was only given a two-minute cameo appearance in the match against Monaco, following which he has been omitted from the matchday squads for fixtures versus Villarreal, Getafe, and Osasuna.
His presence was notably missed in Barcelona’s 4-2 triumph against Osasuna, as the team faced difficulties following a two-goal deficit.
During the game, Flick opted to introduce Raphinha and Lamine Yamal in the early stages of the second half, with Hector Fort coming on as a last-minute substitute instead of Ansu, who was ready to enter the pitch.
The selections made by the German coach suggest that Ansu is not currently viewed as a key component of the team’s tactical plans.
