Newcastle United had been in pursuit of a young winger at the beginning of the transfer window, but he has now signed with Barcelona.
The club became interested in Abdul Aziz Issah due to his impressive performances with Dreams FC in Ghana.
Despite Newcastle’s interest, the 18-year-old has chosen to transfer to Barcelona instead, where he will be playing for their B team in Spain’s third-tier league.
Issah, who was described as ‘amazing‘ by Sports World Ghana, could have encountered tough competition for a position on the right wing at Newcastle from players such as Anthony Gordon, Harvey Barnes, and Jacob Murphy, which may have restricted his opportunities to play.
