Barcelona have found another unique starboy

Barcelona have another rising star and his way to the top could be very unique.

Pau Prim, an 18-year-old up-and-coming player within Barcelona’s youth program, is gaining recognition as a talented prospect in the club’s hierarchy.

Nevertheless, his progress has been impeded by the rise of Marc Bernal, who has eclipsed him in the current scenario. During the previous season, while Bernal assumed a prominent position with Barcelona Atletic, Prim was demoted to a subordinate role and redirected his attention towards the Juvenil teams.

Reportedly, SPORT suggests that this turn of events may have inadvertently provided Prim with the opportunity to enhance his abilities. With Bernal currently out of action due to injury and becoming more involved with the first team, Prim has assumed a more prominent position under the guidance of coach Albert Sanchez.

He has emerged as a crucial member of the team and a steady fixture for Barcelona Atletic in the current season. Despite taking on added duties, Prim’s progression to the first team has been gradual.

He is yet to receive a summons from Hansi Flick, however, his ability to excel on the top stage is evident. His abilities have been praised by his current manager who describes him as embodying the ‘6’ style of Barça, showing a strong understanding of positional play and spatial awareness.

“Our objective was for him to enhance his competitive advantage and foster self-confidence, both of which he is effectively achieving. I am extremely satisfied with his contributions as he serves as a key leader for our team, with a significant portion of our offensive strategies revolving around his performance. This presents the way ahead, and it is crucial for him to sustain this progress.”
