Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Brazilian football icon Neymar returning to Barcelona next summer.

When the news broke it was expected to be another story that would be dismissed almost instantly by the club.

However, it has been a few weeks since the rumours started popping up and it has yet to quiet down.

Neymar to join Barcelona for free

Now, the reliable Helena Condis, via Managing Barca, has reported that the former PSG forward is ready to make sacrifices to join Barca.

The report states that Neymar wants to join the Blaugrana for free this summer and he is also ready to accept a lower salary.

The 33-year-old joined his boyhood club Santos over the winter after terminating his contract in Saudi Arabia.

Neymar is said to be on close to €500k per week at the Brazilian side so if he does want to join Barca then that salary will have to come down massively.

Robert Lewandowski is the only player who is on that type of money at the club and it is something that Deco and Joan Laporta are actively trying to change.

Another issue for Barca is whether Hansi Flick wants the Brazilian. Yes, the side needs a left winger but Neymar has not played in a top league for many years and he has only just returned from a serious ACL injury.

Time will tell if this transfer happens but at this moment in time, it seems like a real possibility Neymar returns to Barcelona next summer transfer window.
