Barcelona’s relationship with Real Betis is impressive, as many players have played for both clubs in recent years. From Carles Alena, who moved from Barcelona to Betis in 2019 to Abde in the 2023/2024 season, amongst others.

The most recent deal between the two clubs was the loan move of Brazilian player Vitor Roque, who has been a headline for the past few weeks. After a long and tiring process, the move to Palmeiras seemed to be sealed soon after FIFA approved it, following La Liga’s earliest restrictions.

As the deal reaches its conclusion, the Spanish club have inquired about another unused player from Barcelona in an attempt to seal the deal before the Brazilian league closes.

Betis Makes Pau’s Request

As reported by MD, Real Betis have requested Pau Victor, who seemed less critical of Hansi Flick as the player has only had 259 minutes this season while scoring two goals and providing an assist.

Pau Victor, who moved from Girona to Barcelona in the summer of 2024/2025 for €3 million, was excited to begin his Barcelona career and appeared to have made an impact during the pre-season America tour but lost his place as the season proceeded.

Although Pau Victor might not be registered for the current season, Real Betis hope to have the youngster on loan at the club in the summer of 2025 with an option to buy, while Barcelona have offered to give the club an additional 30% of Abde, who went to the club for €7.5m last summer.

With this move, Barcelona aim to reduce their sell-on clause to 20%, as it could aid the Roque deal to go through before the closure of the transfer window.

It remains to be seen what will be agreed upon by the two clubs in the next couple of hours.
