Age is just a number for Barcelona and Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who can’t stop scoring for the Blaugrana. The soon-to-be 37-year-old striker still makes a name for himself at the club.

Although the Polish striker has missed many chances, he remains in the top ranking for the European Golden Boot this season, scoring an impressive 20 goals in La Liga, leading the race for the Pichichi, with Kylian Mbappe, shy of 3 goals, sitting in second position.

The Polish striker will soon have his contract automatically extended following a clause in his contract that would have the striker at the club next season if he plays 55% of the games this season.

Lewandowski’s Impressive Goal-Scoring Season

Under Hansi Flick, Robert Lewandowski is a different player and scores goals for fun because the strikers receive balls from the team’s attacking play.

At Bayern Munich, in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, the Polish striker scored 83 goals in 71 matches, winning several major titles, including the 2020 Champions League.

Robert scored 33 goals in 46 games in all competitions in his first season at the club, which was his best goal-scoring season until yesterday’s clash with Atletico Madrid, where the striker came on as a substitute to score the fourth goal of the game.

According to Marca, the Polish veteran striker has now equalled his goal-scoring record from the 2022/2023 season in fewer games. The striker scored 33 goals this season while featuring in 36 games in all competitions, which is ten less than his first season at the club.

Lewandowski has played 131 times, which is impressive for a 36-year-old striker, with most of his fellow elite players already playing outside Europe. The consistency of the veteran is a testament to his undeniable fitness, as he has seen less injury in his spell at the club.
