Barcelona have had difficult transfer windows over the years due to the club’s financial situation. This has forced the club to turn to free transfers to bolster their squad; while many have worked, some haven’t.

Christensen, Wojciech Szczęsny, and Inigo Martinez are part of the free transfer players currently in the squad, and the club are looking to add another veteran.

According to CaughtOffside, the Catalans have shown interest in the services of the Ghanaian International Thomas Party ahead of this summer transfer.

Barcelona Monitor Thomas Party Contract Situation

Thomas Partey, who moved to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid, has spent five years at the club, and there is currently no news surrounding the future of the 32-year-old midfielder.

The Ghanaian superstar has been an incredible signing for Arsenal, featuring in 152 appearances in all competitions, scoring 8 goals, and providing 7 assists.

Considering the veteran’s injury record, it remains to be seen whether the Catalan would be willing to proceed with his signature after the emergence of Marc Casado and Bernal, who have been impressive for the club in the 2024/2025 season.

Barcelona are not the only club lining up for service as Juventus monitor the situation. However, the player is in no rush to settle his future as he is focused on Arsenal, battling for the EPL title.
