One of the questions heading into next summer’s transfer window is whether Barcelona will sign a striker.

Robert Lewandowski is having an unbelievable campaign so far, scoring 28 goals in all competitions, however, he is not getting any younger.

The Polish forward, who is now 37-years-old, is about to enter the last year of his contract in July and currently, there have been no talks of a renewal.

In fact, there have been more and more rumours linking the Blaugrana to forwards, with Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Sporting’s Victor Gyokeres being high on Barca’s wishlist.

However, speaking in a recent interview, cited by Managing Barca, Lewandowski spoke about being a 37-year-old still at the top of his game.

“Turning 37? I am very proud of my age and I am not ashamed of it. I assure you that I have not said the last word yet, my goal is to show that age is just a number and that I can still achieve the same successes as I did a few years ago, I still want to compete and win more trophies.”

Regardless of what happens in the future, hopefully, the former Bayern Munich striker can continue his electric form and help Barcelona win more and more trophies whilst he is at the club.
