Neymar is one of the most talented footballers to ever grace the game, unfortunately, since leaving Barcelona, his career has not panned out exactly how he would have hoped.

After a lacklustre stint at PSG, where Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe outshined him, the Brazilian decided to move to Saudi Arabia.

Sadly, during his first season, the 32-year-old suffered an ACL injury which to this day has kept him on the sidelines.

Now, Al-Hilal’s manager has confirmed that Neymar will not be included in his team for the second half of the campaign and with his contract ending in July, he has been rumoured with a six-month loan to numerous sides.

The former PSG star is currently heavily linked with a return to Santos, however, there have also been murmurs of a potential loan to Barcelona.

In a recent interview, cited by Managing Barca, Deco was asked about the possibility of Neymar returning to Barca.

“At his best, Neymar is one of the best players in the world. He still is and he always will be. He’s welcome at any club in the world.

“An operation regarding him can never be ruled out, but I see him returning to Brazil right now.”

Even though Ney is willing to forfeit the ludicrous salary that he currently earns, it feels like his chapter at Barcelona has come to an end.

Also, with Hansi Flick demanding 100% at all times from his players, signing someone who has just come back from a serious injury and is in the twilight of his career seems like an unnecessary risk.
