Raphinha explains the reasons for the fight between Barcelona and Benfica players.

Last night we witnessed one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side.
After trailing 4-2 against Benfica, Barca made the impossible possible and scored three goals in the space of 20 minutes to secure their place in the UCL League Phase top 8.
However, this result was not without controversy, as before Raphinha scored the winner, Benfica were convinced there was a shove in the box, meaning Bruno Lage’s side would have had a chance to win the game with a penalty.
Thankfully, the VAR and the referee disagreed with his view, a decision that aggrieved the Benfica players during and after the game.
There were reports a fight broke out in the tunnel between Raphinha and some of the Portuguese club’s players, resulting in the police being called to separate the issue.
In an interview after the game, cited by Managing Barca, Barca’s Brazilian winger explained what exactly caused the disagreement to break out.
“Fight with Benfica players? They insulted me after the match so I insulted them back. They could have understood the situation but they chose to insult me.
“I respect everyone. When I left the field there were people who insulted me, I returned the insults, I know I shouldn’t do it. We all get angry. If they respect me, I respect them.”
Hopefully, UEFA do not take action and either suspend or fine Raphinha, something that could be a really possibility depending on the severity of what was said or happened after the game
