When it comes to contracts, Barcelona are not in the best place at the moment, with a lot of players about to enter the last year of their current deals.

Thankfully, Deco has been on top of this situation and most recently reports in Spain confirmed he had finally managed to convince Ronald Araujo to remain at the club, even though he practically had one foot out of the door.

Other players whose contracts expire in 2026 include Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Gavi, a trio that would be impossible to replace.

However, renowned Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update that every Braca fan will be thankful for.

He has reported that Araujo will sign his new contract at Barcelona this week after his camp gave the green light to the new deal last week.

Also, Romano confirmed that Pedri, Gavi and Gerard Martin are all prepared to sign new deals at the club.

Finally, the report mentioned that the next big contract the Blaugrana will be focusing on is Yamal’s.

The La Masia graduate has recently spoken positively about contract talks and claimed he is expecting to extend and remain at his boyhood club.

Hopefully, it happens sooner rather than later so rumours linking the 17-year-old to other clubs do not start appearing out of thin air.
