It looks like a couple of players could be departing Barcelona this January, with the most likely candidates being either Ansu Fati, Andreas Christensen or Eric Garcia.

Fati is currently not in Hansi Flick’s plans this season, already being left out of the last four Barça squads.

Meanwhile, with Ronald Araújo set to stay at the club, after strong interest from Juventus, it has opened the door for a central defender to leave.

Andreas Christensen has only just returned from a five-month injury, however, he is still attracting interest from the Premier League.

Garcia is also being pursued by Girona, where he impressed on loan last year, and it looks like the Blanquivermells are pushing for his signing this January.

Speaking during an interview with DAZN, via GFNS, Girona’s director Quique Cárcel confirmed they are trying to sign the Barcelona defender.

“Our intention is to try to bring Eric García in, but we depend on Barça setting conditions that are realistic for us so that we can do it.”

Recent reports claim that Flick would like to keep the former Man City player due to him being able to play in defence and midfield, however, with only a year and a half left on his current deal, selling him now would maximise his price.

Garcia might also push for a move as playing for Girona would guarantee him a starting spot, something he is far away from at Barcelona.
