Over the years, there have been some legendary players who have donned the number 10 shirt for Barcelona.

Ronaldinho, Juan Román Riquelme, Rivaldo, Gheorghe Hagi, Hristo Stoichkov, Romário, Hristo Stoichkov and Diego Maradona are just some of the names who have worn the famous number for Barça.

However, when you think of Barcelona and the number 10 shirt, pretty much everyone would associate it with the best player to play football, Lionel Messi.

The Argentine made the number 10 iconic for modern football and he still continues to wear it to this day for his current side Inter Miami.

Since Leo left the Blaugrana, the number was passed to La Masia graduate Ansu Fati, who was expected to become the next big thing for the Catalonian side.

Unfortunately, due to injuries and not living up to the high expectations set to him, Fati looks set to leave the club, sooner rather than later.

With that, the famous number 10 shirt becomes available at Barcelona, and according to Jota Jordi, the number is set to pass to another La Masia star, Lamine Yamal.

He reports that the 17-year-old right-winger will wear the number 10 jersey for Hansi Flick’s Barça next season.

As Fati will probably tell Yamal, the 10 at Barcelona comes with a lot of pressure, however, so far the 17-year-old seems to thrive under pressure, so hopefully he can live up to the high expectations that will come with wearing the famous number.
