After returning to the 1:1 rule last month, Barcelona were reportedly thinking about entering the January transfer market.

The main position that needed strengthening in Hansi Flick’s side was on their left flank as the German had resorted to playing Ferran Torres and Raphinha out of position.

Despite Ansu Fati returning to fitness, sources in Spain have claimed that Flick has decided he cannot rely on the 22-year-old winger.

Due to this, Barca decided to seek out options in the market, initially listing AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz as ideal targets.

Unfortunately, due to their stature at their current clubs, transfers for either winger this month is thought to be an almost impossible task.

However, one player who is definitely available this month is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who has been shun to the side by their new head coach Ruben Amorim.

The England international was linked with a move to Catalonia earlier this week but now, according to SPORT, the transfer is a real possibility.

Flick has apparently approved the transfer and Rashford has made a move to Barcelona the priority for this transfer window.

However, the 27-year-old forward has given the Blaugrana a deadline of January 15th to decide if they want to sign him or not.

With everything considered, bringing Rashford in this window on a six-month loan would not be a bad idea, especially considering he can comfortably play as a striker and left winger.

It seems like the Manchester native wants to get his future sorted sooner rather than later so Barca will need to decide quickly before he considers other options.
