Napoli willing to sell Barcelona target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this January for bargain price

Barcelona could secure a shock move for Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but they would need to beat out PSG for any potential deal.

If Barcelona complete any deals in January it will most likely be on the left flank as that is where Hansi Flick is struggling selection-wise.

So far the German has played Ferran Torres and Raphina at left-wing but when comparing them to their preferred right-wing position, the difference in quality is very noticeable.

Due to this hole in the squad, the Blaugrana board look set to authorise reinforcements in January, with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane being touted as options.

However, one option in Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whose deal with Gli Azzurri is set to expire in 2027 and so far he has rejected all contract extension offers.

In November Italian outlet La Repubblica claimed that Barcelona were preparing to go on the offensive for Kvaratskhelia and offer Napoli a deal worth €80million, something which is yet to transpire.

Fabrizio Romano has added fuel to the fire today and confirmed that the Georgian winger has opened the door for a potential January transfer.

Unfortunately, he does claim that PSG are in the driver’s seat and a package worth €80million is being discussed between the two clubs.

If Barcelona could hijack this deal it would be sensational. The 23-year-old ticks all the boxes and if previous reports are to be believed then he is in their price range.

With Barça also going back to the 1:1 rule recently, the money should be there. When you consider Kvaratskhelia’s release clause is currently €130million, €80million seems like a bargain.
